Diff Checker
Find what changed between two versions of a config file, script or document. Lines are compared in order and differences are marked with + and −, like in Git.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your input and files are not uploaded to any server.
How to use
- Paste the original on the left (top on mobile) and the new version on the right, or open files.
- Choose whether to ignore whitespace and case.
- Press Compare and review the highlighted lines. Copy the unified diff if you need to share it.
Examples
Compare two .env or nginx.conf files to see which lines differ.

Frequently asked questions
How large can the inputs be?
Up to about 5,000 lines per side compare instantly. Larger inputs are refused to keep the page responsive.
Is the unified diff compatible with patch?
The output follows the unified diff format with @@ hunk headers, which most tools can read. Always review before applying it as a patch.
