JSON Minifier
Smaller JSON loads faster and fits in environment variables, query strings and config fields. The minifier validates the input first, so you never ship broken JSON.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your input and files are not uploaded to any server.
How to use
- Paste formatted JSON.
- Press Minify.
- Copy the single-line result. The size before and after is shown.
Examples
A 2 KB indented config usually shrinks by 20–40% when whitespace is removed.
Minify JSON without breaking it
Minified JSON is the same data with the spaces and line breaks removed. It is useful when you need to put a JSON value in an environment variable, a query string, a single-line config field or a test fixture.
The tool checks that the JSON is valid before it minifies, so a stray comma or an unquoted key is reported instead of being copied into your project. Keep a formatted copy for editing: minified JSON is meant for machines, not for people.

Frequently asked questions
Does minifying change the data?
No. Only insignificant whitespace is removed. Keys, values and order stay exactly the same.
Should I minify for gzip?
Servers usually compress JSON with gzip or Brotli anyway, so the gain on the network is smaller than the raw byte saving. Minifying still helps for storage and embedding.
