Bio Character Counter
Profile bios have tight, platform-specific limits. Pick a platform (or set your own limit) and write with a live counter. Characters are counted as visible symbols (grapheme clusters), so a flag or family emoji counts once — platforms may count some of these differently.

How to use
- Choose a platform or enter a custom limit.
- Write your bio.
- Watch the remaining characters and copy the bio when it fits.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the platform count differently?
Some platforms count bytes or UTF-16 code units, so emoji can count as 2 or more. The tool shows both the visible count and the UTF-16 count to help you stay safe.
Are these limits official?
They are commonly documented values at the time of checking. Platforms change limits, so you can edit the number.
