Heading Structure Checker
A clear heading outline helps screen-reader users navigate and helps everyone scan a page. Paste HTML (view source, then copy) and the checker builds the outline locally with the browser’s HTML parser. Nothing is fetched or executed.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.
Frequently asked questions
Is more than one H1 an error?
HTML allows it and Google says it is fine, but a single H1 that describes the page is the clearest structure for accessibility. The checker reports it as a warning, not an error.
Are scripts in my HTML run?
No. The HTML is parsed with DOMParser into an inert document; scripts are not executed and images are not loaded.
