URL Slug Checker
Short, readable URLs are easier to share and understand. Paste one or more URLs (or bare slugs) to get a checklist for each and a suggested replacement. If you change a live URL, remember to add a 301 redirect from the old one.

How to use
- Paste URLs or slugs, one per line.
- Read the checks for each line.
- Use the suggested slug, and redirect the old URL if it was already published.
Examples
/index.php?p=123 → flags the query parameter and suggests a descriptive slug.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.
Frequently asked questions
Do keywords in the URL matter?
They help people understand where a link goes. Google describes the effect on ranking as very small, so do not stuff keywords into URLs.
Are Arabic URLs OK?
Yes, non-Latin characters work in modern browsers. They are percent-encoded when copied into some apps, which makes them long, so the checker notes it as information, not an error.
