Canonical URL Helper
The same page is often reachable through several URLs — with and without www, with UTM parameters, with or without a trailing slash. Pick your preferred rules once and clean a single URL or a whole list, then copy the canonical link tags.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your input and files are not uploaded to any server.
How to use
- Paste one or more URLs, one per line.
- Choose your rules for protocol, www, trailing slash and query parameters.
- Copy the cleaned URLs or the generated <link rel="canonical"> tags.

Frequently asked questions
Which version should be canonical?
Any consistent choice works. Use the version your internal links, sitemap and redirects already use.
Is a canonical tag a redirect?
No. It is a hint to search engines. If an old URL should never be used, a 301 redirect is stronger.
