How to use
- Open a photo of yourself taken straight on, in even light, in front of a plain wall. JPG, PNG and iPhone HEIC files work.
- Choose the photo size, or enter your own in millimetres.
- Zoom, move and rotate the picture until your head fits between the guide lines. Tick “Make the background white” if you need it.
- Download the single photo (you can set a maximum file size for online forms), or a print sheet with several copies.

An online visa form wants a small JPG
Choose the size, open “Maximum file size” and enter the limit in KB, for example 240. The tool picks the highest quality that fits.
You need prints from a shop or a home printer
Choose a sheet such as 4×6 in, download it and print at 100% size. The photos are laid out with thin cutting lines.
The wall behind you is not plain
Tick “Make the background white (AI)”, then check the edges around your hair and shoulders before you use the photo.
Privacy

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.
Frequently asked questions
Will my photo be accepted?
This tool does not check your photo. Each country and each form has its own rules about size, head size, background, expression, glasses and who may take the photo, and they change. The guide lines are approximate. Always compare the result with the official requirements of the authority that asked for it.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your device, including the optional AI background step. The AI files (about 19 MB) are downloaded from this site the first time; your picture never leaves your device.
Why is there no automatic face detection?
To keep the tool light and private it does not detect faces. You position the picture yourself, using the guide lines for the head size of the chosen format.
Which sizes are included?
USA (51×51 mm), United Kingdom and Schengen/EU (35×45 mm), Canada (50×70 mm), China visa (33×48 mm) and Egypt passport (40×60 mm). Sources disagree on the sizes for some other countries, so use “Custom size” and the figures from your own authority.
Can I change my appearance?
Do not. Many authorities reject retouched photos. Only the background colour option is offered, and it can leave rough edges around hair, so check the result. A small model is used, so it is not perfect.
How is the file size limit applied?
The photo is saved as a JPG, and the tool tries different quality levels to stay under the limit you enter. If the photo cannot be made that small at the chosen resolution, it tells you to lower the resolution or raise the limit.
