Examples

A landlord or employer sends you a PDF to sign

Draw your signature, drag it onto the signature line, add today’s date next to it, and send the downloaded file back.

A form needs a tick and a printed name

Use “Add tick” for the box and “Add text” for the name, then place each one exactly where it belongs.

You have a photo of your handwritten signature

Upload it and keep “Make the white background transparent” on, so the paper does not cover the text underneath.

Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab and use the tool. Your file never appears in an upload request. Once this page is saved for offline use, you can also disconnect from the internet and keep working. Ads and anonymous visit statistics, when enabled, make their own requests, but they never receive your files or text.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read, shown and changed inside this page. You can open your browser’s Network tab while you sign to confirm that no file is sent anywhere.

Is there a watermark, a limit or an account?

No watermark, no account and no daily limit. The only limits are the ones your device can handle: files up to 200 MB and 300 pages.

Is this signature legally binding?

That depends on the document and on your country. Many everyday documents accept a picture of a signature, but some require more. This tool places an image of your signature on the page. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature, a timestamp or an audit trail, so ask the other side whether this kind of signature is accepted.

Can someone copy or remove my signature afterwards?

Yes. The signature is a picture placed on the page, so anyone with a PDF editor can copy it or take it off. For anything sensitive, use a certified digital signature service or send the document to be signed through a trusted channel.

Does it fill in form fields?

No. Text, dates and ticks are placed on top of the page as pictures, and the original form fields are not filled in. This is fine for printing, e-mailing and most uploads, but a program that reads form fields will not see your entries.

Why does my typed signature look different on another device?

The handwriting-style font comes from your device, so Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android look slightly different. Draw your signature or upload a picture if you need exactly the same result everywhere.

Why can’t I open my PDF?

Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the protection in the program that created the file. Damaged files and files over 200 MB or 300 pages are also refused.
